Ticket

A unique identifier assigned by the server to each MetaTrader 4 position, order or non-trading transaction and displayed in the client terminal.

Trailing Stop

A client terminal function that enables automatic movement of the Stop Loss order by a user-defined number of pips if the exchange rate trends are favorable and exceed this value compared to the previous Stop Loss level.

Transaction

A round-trip combination of two trading operations in which funds are converted from the base currency to the quoted currency and back.

Trend

Overall market tendency – positive trend (upward movement) and negative trend (downward movement). Trend is the general direction of the changes in any given time series. Trends analysis uses different equations – linear, logarithmic, polynomial, etc. Trends can be represented as charts; actual chart types are determined by considering graphic patterns of the time series data, by averaging indicators that show the time series dynamics, or based on the statistic check of a hypothesis on graph parameter stability.
